Intro

This aims to be the most comprehensive⁰ kernel^{1, 2} comparison³ of the latest most popular Unix style kernel versus the latest most popular kernel. In Q3 2007, this means Linux 2.6.21 and 2.6.22 kernels versus Windows Vista kernel. In Q4 2007, this means Linux 2.6.23 kernel versus Windows Server 2008 kernel.
